The not-for-profit Fakkeltjes (“Little Torches”) wants to stimulate children to look at the world with a critical mind. By means of tests and experiments, children get acquainted with the scientific method and the principle of free inquiry in an easily accessible way.

In this short film, Rooie Karel (“Red Charles”) shows how easy it is to put together a fun video - with content - with a simple camera and a strong dose of imagination.

Rooie Karel en de magische ballon was made in 2013 by Bert Goossens and Karel Van Campenhout. It has succeeded in making a lot of children enthusiastic and critical.
